5 years, not bad. But it's not my oldest UFO!
It took me only a few hours to baste and freemotion quilt this up and now it is on my finished pile.

The second UFO was a scrap quilt too. I used the leftover square-in-a-square blocks from a quilt that I made for my husband's brother. This quilt top was circa 2008. I had lots of fun slicing all the blocks and inserting 3/4" strips into each block. It's hard to see the quilting in the photo. I simply quilted a large crosshatch over the entire top.

Hope you get time to work on some older, almost forgotten projects. It sure feels good to get them finished up. 👍
Love them both! I need to make another scrappy house quilt with some homespuns that were gifted to me awhile back. I've been working diligently on my UFO's this year. Just signed up for another UFO challenge, and that will motivate me to keep working through the pile.
ReplyDeleteNot one, but TWO wonderful finishes. Congrats on your newly completed quilts!!
ReplyDeletelove your quilts and you picked a beautiful setting to take photos!
ReplyDeleteGreat finishes. Love the house quilt. Hope to see you soon.
ReplyDeleteSuch nice little quilts! I love a good house quilt, and yours is very fine :) I'm amazed that you had enough left over blocks to make an entire new quilt from the red, cream and blue blocks. That one will be fun for the holidays, although it doesn't scream "Christmas" and could be used anytime.
ReplyDeleteI've been working on UFOs, too, and it's quite satisfying to see them finished and off to new homes.
So friggin satisfying to cut that UFO pile down! Love them both...but those houses. I have a thing for houses.
DeleteCongratulations on marking off two more UFOs! They are great!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on finishing up two UFOs! They are thrice as pretty in person as they are in pictures! What a fun day we had in Pictou. XO
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the finishes. They're both beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great feeling isn't it. Both your quilts look great although it always looks a little dangerous when you stand with them in the wind like that! xx
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your wonderful finishes!! I bet it feels wonderful to have them both done. I love house quilts and seeing yours makes me realize I need to add that to my list for quilts to do soon.
ReplyDeleteBoth quilts look great! I love seeing your house quilt all finished up! :0)
ReplyDeleteKudos on getting these two finished. But how it is that you still have Nummers???? ☺
