Throwback Thursday - Volume 6

Time again to show you a "before-blogging" quilt that I made and to link up with
Jenn @ A Quarter Inch from the Edge for Volume #6 of Throwback Thursday.

I made this sampler in 1995.  I made it for my then 16 year old daughter.  It has been on her bed ever since along with two other quilts that I have made for her.  I am just in the process of making her a new quilt too.  Girl loves her quilts!

We liked pink and green and black in the day.  The border fabric with the black background was a poor choice.  It has totally faded out and doesn't look nice any more but it is still well loved.

It is handquilted by me and has a gorgeous soft white muslin on the back. The sashing and inner border is a very soft pink.  There is some needle-turn applique too.

Stop by Jenn's blog and check out all the other golden oldies in the linky.  Or better yet, link up too and show us one of yours.

Hope you get time today to do some quilting and get a project on its way to being finished!

  6. I love the top center block, something about it is just right to me. :) I'm sure this quilt is well loved by your daughter, that's why it's a little faded. :)
