On to some fun things....
For participating in Sew Sisters Blogathon Canada, they were so kind to send me a fat quarter bundle of the yummiest fabrics and also included was a six-patch of thread from sponsors, Aurifil. Thanks! I love it!
Remember the awesome knitted/felted bag that KnittySister made for her daughter?
We finished it off. I made the lining and handsewed it in and added a cute little pocket that I made using a postcard stamp and added a little message. She is just going to love this!

The photo below shows my daughter holding the tablecloth that my Mother stitched for her. Mother will be 83 on Sunday and always has a stitching project on the go.
I was given this sweet little toy Singer machine by a friend. Takes batteries and makes a very nice chain stitch. You can see from the date on the original box that it is from 1976.
After swirling the heck out of The Weddin' Quilt (Still waiting to get a nice photo) you would think I had enough of that stitch, but noooo,,,I couldn't resist swirling away on this Christmas project. More on this one soon.
Hope you have time to get some quilting done today!
Such a lovely post, Linda. I can't wait to see what you do with all that yumminess that Sew Sisters sent you! Your Christmas project is beautiful!

ReplyDeleteNice Christmas quilt..
I am so envious of Nicola's tablecloth. I have several embroidered by my Gram which I love and use, but no Christmas ones. What a wonderful gift for your daughter.
ReplyDeleteSo many pretties, I don't know what to comment on first!! What fun to receive a pkg. full of cloth and thread, and such nice, bright colors! I love Knitty Sister's bag. Isn't it fun to collaborate on a project? Your pocket is such a clever idea. I'll just bet Niki loves her stitched cloth. She's a lucky girl, and looks so much like you in that picture. I can't wait to see a picture of the whole Christmas quilt. It looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your win! I love the toy Singer sewing machine! Are you participating in Bonnie's mystery this year?
