Just had to share

I already blogged earlier today but I just had to share what has been going on since this morning.

I received my postcard from my swap partner Maria in Australia   Isn't it just the cutest!  I love it so much.  Maria has used two of my all-time fav things in the postcard she made...selvedges and snowmen.  Her stitching is just so tiny and perfect .Hope you can tell from the photo. Thanks soooo much Maria.

Here is the postcard that I sent to Maria

She received it safe and sound a few days ago.

Also, wanted to show what I made from more of Lesley's scraps.  A knitting project bag (or for anything really)  A pieced front with a vinyl see-through insert.
It has a grommet on the back so your yarn can feed through as you work.  It was a bit of struggle for me to make because I didn't trust the instructions and then I became very frustrated so Retired Hub came to the rescue and figured it out for me.  What a guy!!  Thanks Honey, The next one I make will be a breeze.

Now to make supper . Canadian Hamburger soup. A family fav for many years.  Great to eat on this cold day.

  2. The post cards are lovely ... I'm in awe over that paper pieced Santa - I cannot paper piece to save my life.
Your knitting bag looks terrific - I like the idea and those scraps are so nice. Nice of you to share your hamburger soup recipe.
