I am back to sewing...but not with my own machine. I am using a loaner from the quilt shop. So, of course, since I hadn't sewn anything for a while, I had to start something new. I fell in love with the Great Granny block. There is a quilt along going on, hosted by Jodi @ Pleasant Home and Lori @ Bee in My Bonnet. I am using an Amy Butler jelly roll for the rounds, Robert Kaufman Fusions for the centres and Kona Snow for the background. I have a plan for these blocks in mind, but more on that later.

Beautiful blocks Linda , glad to hear you are back to sewing a little disappointing it is on a loaner though. I have been eyeing those granny square blocks for a while and I am so tempted :-)
Love your blocks...and you have a plan? Giggle...I bet it is to make another gorgeous quilt! So glad they loaned you a sewing machine...there is only so much hand-piecing a gal can do!
Your blocks look great! I've started making these too, but mine are all scrappy! :0)
Am loving them!! I tried a granny block and now have 30! They are addictive. I did mine in blue and brown scraps. ~karen
How fabulous they look. I haven't started on mine yet, but soon I hope. Until then I just keep watchinng everyone else's pretty blocks showing up in blogland.
Ha! You caught the granny square bug. There is a lot of that going around these days.
I have been seeing these blocks around blogland lately and I absolutely love them. Your's are lovely - something else to add to my every growing bucket list.
Sorry, but I love the boat at the top of the blog! It's so cute!
