Halifax is about an hour and a half drive away from Westville. That is
at 110 kms an hour. Today I set out in the torrential rain and ended
up driving about 80 kms an hour so it took me a bit longer to get there
but it was so worth the ride. It has been about 30 years since I have visited this part of the province. I very much wanted to attend the 10th
anniversary Quilt Show of the Thistle Quilt Guild and I wanted so much
to meet my blogging buddies Sheila from
Sheila's Quilt World and Lesley from
The Cuddle Quilter.
Such sweeties, but you expect nothing less from a Nova Scotia gal. We
are the best!! The quilt in the background was made by Sheila It was
so amazing. Sheila had several pieces in the show. Here are just a few pics that I took and I wish I could have photographed each one because you would be amazed at the talent. The guild put on an
amazing show, very impressive. I wish I belonged to the Thistle Quilt Guild.

And what a day we had! So glad you braved the elements and drove very carefully to and from the show. Love your pics and especially happy to see closeups of Sheila's embroidery and that wonderful doll and quilt! Will definitely have to find another show to visit!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Linda for driving in that nasty weather , it was truly wonderful to meet you and so glad you enjoyed our show . Great photos ! Too bad you didn't live closer so you could join our guild , it is a really wonderful group :-)
ReplyDeleteLovely show. Of course I tend to navigate to Karen Neary's designs. Absolutely gorgeous .. all of them.
