Done and Gifted!
The quilted wallhanging I made for my son's apartment is finished!! I love how it turned out and I had fun making it. He loves it too. I wanted to use variegated thread but the day I had planned for quilting we had a big snowstorm and I couldnt get to the fabric store to buy the colour I needed so I just used what I had. I used a gold on top and purple in bobbin (the backing fabric is purple with white circles). I also did a decorative stitch around the centre portion. I made a scrappy binding (love scrappy bindings!) Here's a pic of the blocks I started with and then cut in quarters and sewed two sets back together. The finished size is 60" x 36"

It's gorgeous! I love the colours you chose, and the binding is perfect. You do lovely work, Linda. I bet your son is pleased to have this artwork on his wall!
