My break is over..

I cannot believe that two weeks has passed since I blogged last!  I can't tell you that I have been sewing like a crazy person.  I have hardly sewn a thing.  I have just been taking it easy.   2014 was such a busy, productive year for me and I think I needed a breather.
I am not in a funk or anything like that.  I just decided to take it easy for a bit and now I am ready to get back at creating and I did just that today. One of my nephews asked me to make him a black and white herringbone quilt, a sofa throw (no rush, just whenever).  I didn't have enough fabric on hand to start his quilt,  so I decided
to make one with some of the leftover fabric from my niece's Weddin' Quilt, just to see what size blocks I would like the best.   I will  save this one for a gift for her later on.   I made 48 - 8" (unfinished)  half square triangles and will be setting them 6 x 8 blocks.  I will make the black and white one larger though.  Probably 8 x 10 blocks

I finished up making my contribution to the Prospect Raffle Quilt 2015. The theme this year is flowers.

I also joined up with Sheila for her Valentine Postcard Swap.  My cards have been mailed off .  I hope they arrive safe and sound.  I can't show them until they are received but here is one that I made for a friend, not part of the swap,  and it will be in the mail tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you had time today to do something quilty.
