I have been very lazy lately. Just trying to relax and take it easy. I did make a decision on what I would end up doing with my "Slices". I made a sewing machine cover. A dust cover for my Pfaff Ambition 1.0. I added a strip of purple along the bottom on one side and a strip of a light print on the bottom of the other side so it would be long enough. I backed it with a lovely turquoise batik, draped it over the machine and anchored it with several stitches and a button. I love it. Now I need to make something to fit my Pfaff QE 4.0. and my Husquvarna and my Kenmore and my Singer. I have a few more older machines but I don't use them anymore and they are packed away.
I pieced two more blocks for my Dear Jane project. I really need to pick up the pace on this project. I have only pieced 16 blocks so far. Lots more to go. Think I will add some buttons here and there.
Knitty Sister just returned from almost a month of vacation in Hawaii. Lucky duck! She was amazed with how popular quilting is there. She visited a quilt shop in Volcano called Kilauea Kreations. She wanted to find me some fabric that was made in Hawaii. She brought me these Beautiful Hand-Marbled fabrics by Zee. The top one is a Kona Cotton, the middle one is a pima cotton and the bottom one is Cotton Lawn. Very nice!
I am linking up with The Needle and Thread Network. Stop by and check out what is going on this week.
I hope you have time today to do something quilty!
