It took me a few hours to finish that up. So cute. I used the pattern by Madame Samm. Amazingly, I remembered from the last few purses that I made from this pattern, to cut the fusible fleece a quarter of an inch smaller than the pieces used to construct the front and sides of the purse. That way the bulk in the seam is diminished and makes for easier sewing. I made the front and back from selvedges and the sides from Mirror Ball Dot in Lagoon. The lining inside is MBD in Snow. I also made a pincushion that I have been wanting to make for a while A pattern by Heather Bailey. . free pattern if you are interested in making one.
While playing around with my selvedge collection, I sewed up another 8 inch string square in different blue selvedges. No definite plan for these blocks yet. I will just keep making them until inspiration strikes.
I was making good use of my new pincushion that my BQFF Kathy B. sent to me for Christmas. I just love it so much. Thanks Kathy.
I spent until 9 pm in my sewing room, only coming upstairs for a few bathroom breaks and to make supper. An awesome day!
Great projects Linda! I've never seen a pin cushion like that one.
ReplyDeleteNice for you that the big snow is over with .... hope the windchill that we're experiencing doesn't work it's way that far.
Lovely projects. I made several of the stacked pin cushions for gifts a couple of years ago...the recipients loved them,. Your little purse is adorable.
