Fabric Fix

Every day I throw whatever loonies and twoonies I have in my changepurse, into a bowl. It doesnt take very long to collect $100.00 worth.  That's how I pay for my fabric fixes. So I traded the coins for bills and here is what I bought Thursday while visiting the N.S. Fibre Festival in Amherst.  Here is the Maywood "No Girls Allowed" I purchased at Dayle's for 4.00 a metre. Maywood fabric is one of my favs.
I love the blue one on the bottom, such a pretty shade.

On the way home from Amherst I had to stop at It's Sew Time in Elmsdale.  OMG! Suzanne is now carrying Kaffe Fasset fabric!  I bought three 6" charm packs (love that the squares are 6" and not 5") and on my next visit I plan on buying a beautiful purple Kaffe off the bolt. I also picked up three metres of a very nice polka dot in blue. I have a very nice collection of Kaffe now so I will start looking for a quilt I want to make to use it.  I have several in mind.  Just need to find the perfect one. Suzanne is also carrying cotton silk. It is gorgeous! I have to check this out next time as well, and save more loonies and twoonies!

  1. I wouldn't have been able to resist the Kaffe Fasset charm packs either. Maybe I'm lucky that the fabric store I go to that carries that fabric line doesn't have any precuts. Do you have a specific project in mind? Or did you buy them to indulge in a little fabric petting?

  2. How lucky you are to live close to a quilt store! Or maybe I'm the lucky one, not having one nearby, I don't spend as much!
