2 Bags - Finished! Finally!

I have two finishes!  WooHoo!  Took me long enough. The first one, the Little Sister bag by Whistlepig Creek has been mostly finished for a while except that I kept putting off installing the zipper. It's totally done now The main body fabric is the perfect one that I had been searching for, for a long time, and finally found it on Spoonflower.  The bag is finished off with 380" of bias binding that is sewn on and then turned to the back and sewn by hand!  It's a Christmas gift for Knitty Sister. She will love it.  Even more so, because she has been waiting so long for me to make it!

The second bag I finished is called the "Everything but the Kitchen Sink" bag by Eazy Peazy Quilts .  I made this one for me to carry all the quilty stuff I need to take to Sew-Ins.  It is a large bag with lots of inside pockets as well as two outside pockets.  It is also reversible! I have never made anything that was reversible so that kind of threw me for a loop or two.   The pattern calls for Bosal Craft-Tex Placemat forms.  I couldn't find any nearby so I used a heavyweight fusible interfacing and it worked really well.  The fabrics are mostly Cotton and Steel, gifted to me by a quilty friend.  The lining is from Purebred by Erin Michael.

I am linking up my two finished bags with
Patty at Elm Street Quilts Bag It Event.  Stop by and check out all the wonderful bags being made.  Better yet, make a bag or two and join in!

Hope you had time to get some quilting done today.

  1. Linda, they both look so incredible, especially Knitty Sister's bag! So professional looking. WhistlePigCreek would love seeing a picture of it, if you get the time. They are always so supportive and proud of people who make something with one of their patterns! Well done, my friend! XO
