I only have one photo of this quilt that I made probably 10 years ago. I went back through my blog, all 8 years of it, to see if I had posted about this quilt. Nope. So I am just going by memory.
I made it for my Aunt/Godmother. It lives with her in Prospect and is used on her bed. That makes me happy. At the time her favourite colours were burgundy and navy.
My inspiration was a large floral print with a navy background. I made ohio star blocks using the large floral print as the star points and centres and mixed up the fabrics surrounding the centres with different blues and burgundy fabrics. I do remember that the small cornerstones were left over units from the Storm at Sea portion of the quilt I made for RetiredHub. I am sure there is muslin on the back. It is handquilted by Me.
Stop by Jennifer's blog and check out all the other throwbacks. Better yet, write up a post and link up...the prizes are pretty sweet!
Hope you had time to do something quilty today!
