It's January 1, 2016! The past year, for me, was just wonderful. My quilty year anyway. I became very busy with my job as Social Media Princess for my lovely little guild,
the Maritime Modern Quilt Guild. I may go over the top but I don't hear any complaints so I will continue on for 2016 as I will hold this position for at least another year. I do adore my lovely little guild and I want everyone to have as much fun and to be just as inspired as I am with all the wonderful modern quilters that I am surrounded by.
2015 is gone now and I don't like to look backwards, so I will tell you that I am going to change a few things in the coming year. #1 is my blog...Scrapmaster...which I have been working on since February of 2008. Last year I fell behind. So this coming year, my promise to you is to pick up the pace and do shorter and more frequent posts.
I made these two 20" cushions for a friend for her husband for Christmas, In return, she gave me this lovely 15 fat quarter pack of Blueberry Park by Karen Lewis.
I made this infinity scarf for myself today. I used Cotton and Steel and Art Gallery fabrics. Here is the tutorial I followed. I made the smaller sized one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-IS2HFLH6U
I made this cushion for my niece to use in her son's nursery.
That's it for right now. I am working on machine quilting a large quilt and I hope to have it completed very soon.
Take care and I hope you had time to do something quilty today.
You did a great job with those cushions. Love the scarf

ReplyDeleteYes I actually did some sewing yesterday and it felt good to start the new year that way.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I love your header picture! It looks great! The pillows are awesome. I'm sure your friends hubby was delighted with his new manly pillows and your new, sweet little nephew's nursery is probably 'complete' now! What a fun scarf! It looks so pretty on you. Sure am looking forward to seeing your quilt and hearing about how wonderful that new machine is. XO
ReplyDeleteI love the pillows. Nice quilted pillows are on my list this year.
ReplyDeleteThis time I need to remember to put zippers on the covers, as the dog attacks them with shedded fur.
The cushions are amazing...wonderful to do a swap with the fabric! The scarf looks great on you!
ReplyDeleteThe cushions are gorgeous and the scarf is beautiful but those little raccoons are a winner.
