Jenn @ Quarter Inch from the Edge, my lovely guildmate, is hosting this fun linky party to encourage quilters to show off some of their long ago, before-blogging quilty things. I started blogging almost nine years ago but first got interested in quilting in late 1992. I dragged out all the Christmas boxes today to start decorating and found my very first piecing project to share with you. A Christmas stocking for one of my sons who was 9 years old at the time. I fussy cut (before I knew what fussy cutting was) diamond shapes, sewed them all together and then made a stocking, without a pattern I might add, hence the wacky looking shape. It is machine quilted too! You may notice that the solid red background fabric has bled into the lighter fabrics. That is because a few Christmases ago, a candy melted in the stocking and I had to wash it. Not the best result but it is still well loved.
I don't have any full size Christmas quilts from my before-blogging days. I only have wall hangings and seasonal accessories.
Here are a few other Christmas wallhangings that have not appeared on my blog.

Stop by Jenn's blog and check out all the links to see what other bloggers have to show from their pre-blogging days. Better yet, why not join in? There is an awesome prize involved. Check it out!
Hope you had some time to do something quilty today.
