What's Happening!

My entry in the Modern Quilt Guild's Michael Miller Challenge.
I have since completed this quilt..My original design..."Wonky Pegs".  Its hard to tell, but I did a different freemotion quilting design in each of the 10 horizontal rows.  My 10 favourite designs.  .My awesome nephew, Barry, an amateur photographer, is going to take some way better shots of my quilt so that I will have a nice photo to submit to the challenge.  This photo was taken at the May Sew-In Day of the Maritime Modern Quilt Guild.  Click HERE to read all about it.
I worked on my "Christmas Diamonds" at the Sew-In. I got most of the rows sewed together but  I didnt get as much sewing done as I had planned but I sure had a great time.  I gabbed and learned and sewed and ate my lunch and then gabbed and learned and  sewed some more until it was time to leave.  I can't wait until next month.  I have really found my quilty home!

For my Dear Jane journey...I have completed two more blocks.. If interested, you can click on the tab under my header that will take you to my Dear Jane page.  My progress is slow but I enjoy making each block.

I love fabric postcards...I love to make fabric postcards.....so I joined up with Brandy Lynn at Canadian Quilt Talk, for her Postcard Swap...the theme being "Maple Leaves"...very Canadian!  Here is a link to check out all the awesome podcasts hosted by Brandy Lynn.   Great to listen to while sewing up a quilt top or tacking down a binding.  Episode 046 is all about fabric postcards.
