The Library Challenge - February Report

So far, so good!   I made initial progress with my commitment to The Library Challenge Quilt Along and today is the first monthly link-up to show that progress.  I went full ahead with two out of the five projects that I chose...and then...came to a full stop!  Not to say I have abandoned these projects but of late, since joining the Maritime Modern Quilt Guild, my inspiration level has skyrocketed and I can't seem to settle myself down to working on any one or two things at a time.  Why do I have to try everything I see?  It was bad enough that I am hooked on everything I see on line, now I have the opportunity to get up close and personal with some amazing quilting talent at my new guild to make it even worse.  I need to get a grip and focus!
 Back to the Library Challenge.

From "Scrap Republic" -  Here is my version of  "Slices"  A great project to experiment with sewing triangles and also for colour use.  Still don't know what I will make with this but I am leaning towards a cover for one of my sewing machines.

From "Modern Basics" -  "Basic Puzzle"   Super fun!  I used only solids that I had in my "scrash"  mostly Kona's.  Now to get this sewn into a top.  I was going to work on it at our MMQG Sew-In tomorrow, but it requires too much attention and I get so easily distracted that I am sure it would end up being a disaster so I will save this for sewing at home,

Two starts out of five isn't bad!  I am happy with this.  I am linking with Adrienne, our QuiltAlong hostess, at Chezzetcook Modern Quilts.  Stop by and check out how everyone is doing.

  2. Two projects from TLP on the go at once! You overachiever, you! Love your work so far... I've eyed up both of those projects at different points. Gotta say I'm lovin' the MMQG too. So fun to hang out with aesthetically like minded individuals.

  3. Great progress! I especially love the triangles, but I'm a sucker for anything rainbow : ) And I hear you about focus - I have a sewing retreat coming up and I keep wondering what to take - I have some big things that could use the time span, but also need attention, and I think I'll get chatting too much to do the details!

  4. Both are looking great. I'm starting to feel envious that I'm not participating in the TLP.

  9. Smarty pants - two projects at once! I am having the same problem, settling on one thing at a time, I want to make everything these days. I think a sewing machine cover for your triangles is a great idea :)

  11. Still love your "slices" quilt. The puzzle quilt does look like fun. Can't wait to see how you quilt it.
