More playing...

OK...I am not working on my son's quilt like I said in my last post.  I needed to get another cushion design out of my head and on the sofa.  I had a pile of B/W and grey print scraps that needed to be dealt with so I came up with this cover for another 20" pillow form that I had for a while.  Love it!  Such fun to make.  I cut 4 1/2" strips of leftover batting pieces and sewed down scraps in flip and sew style. Then sewed the rows of strips together with 1" strips of a solid white.  Then surrounded that with the beautiful Kona turquoise.  I decided to try a zipper closure this time.  I saw it on Pinterest (thanks for pinning that tutorial Karen R.)  It worked like a charm and I was so excited with how things were going, that I sewed up the sides and put the pillow form in and then noticed that I had forgotten to do some free motion quilting on it!  Classic Scrapmaster!

Next time I post, I promise I will have my son's quilt top all sewn and ready for basting.
