Here is a lovely handmade gift I received in the mail, from my blogging buddy Lesley of the Cuddle Quilter, It is just a beautiful little wallhanging and I have a special place for it. It is handquilted by Lesley and I am impressed with her beautiful precise stitches. The fabrics are just the loveliest. Thanks so much Lesley. Click on the link if you want to see an amazing quilt. Pieced by Lesley and machine quilted by Lynn . Just the most beautiful quilt.
I also received this sweet little mug rug, from My BQFF Kathy B. This is her first mugrug I love it. Thanks Kathy. It will be well used.
Also from Kathy, her very first fabric postcard. So cute.
The photo below is for my sweet blogging buddy Karen of KaHolly. Check out her blogpost of today. She makes such wonderful quilts. She loves dresden plate quilts and I don't think I ever showed her my quilt. The blocks in this quilt were made by my Grandmother in the 40's, while my Grandfather was overseas during WW2. They are made from her old dresses and blouses and blanket stitched by hand. She gave up and didn't sew them into a quilt, but when I found them after her death, I made them into a quilt that I hoped she would have liked. I handquilted it with lots of love.
