What's Happening

I have been working the past week on a project for a friend.  She was kind and offered to help me out by handquilting a really old UFO (she would rather handquilt than piece)  so I said I would piece a top for her.  She chose the simple sailboat block and picked her fabrics and I did the cutting and sewing.  The 8" finished blocks are complete so now I just have to add the sashing and then sew them together and attach the borders and she will have her quilt top ready to handquilt.  It should measure at 48" square and is destined to hang on the wall in her family room.
I have it in my head......that September is going to be Just Machine Quilting Month for me.  I have lots to do and we shall see if this works and that I don`t get sidetracked with new projects.  We shall see...

I am linking up with The Needle and Thread Network, so stop by and see what everyone is up to this week.  Lots of creativity.  .

  2. Your boats are wonderful! Love the way that you and your friend share your love of quilts and both get to do what you enjoy doing! Good luck with your September goal...my goal since coming home from our trip is to finish my quilts and not start new ones. It's good to have goals, right?
