#2 UFO Finish for 2012

Another finish! WooHoo!  I started this string quilt in Feb of 2010..added the border in Sept 2010 and did the machine quilting in Feb of 2012.  Took a while...but it is now complete and ready to be gifted. It is a lap quilt and measures 48 x 60.  Just needs a label. I used a  90Topstitch needle and Wonderfil Tutti 50 wt Colour TU30 top and bottom.   This green quilt fulfills my commitment to the Rainbow Scrap Challenge at SoScrappy as green is the colour for February.
I did all the quilting in freemotion except for the straight line in the beige strings.

So here's my plan for working on UFOs....I have 20 full size quilt tops that are in need of completion..some are ready to be quilted and some still need borders.  I wrote the name of each on a piece of paper and put them in a bag and then drew a name and then work on finishing that particular quilt.  The first one drawn is RRCB (Roll, roll cotton boll - a Bonnie Hunter Mystery from 2010)!  This one will be a challenge to FMQ because of the size and weight.  I do love a challenge!

I am linking up to Work in Progress Wednesday at The Needle and Thread Network    Lots of interesting blogs and I got a few new ideas.
