WIP Wednesday at TN&TN

Measures 72 1/2" x 96 1/2"
Another hot and humid week has passed by so quickly.  I did manage to get the top sewn together for the quilt I am making for my son, Alexander. I don't have a suitable backing fabric in my stash.  I have in mind what I would like, just hope I can find something close to my idea.  If not, I may have to piece a backing.  Road trip to Avonport Discount I think!

Update on Dad's Lobster Quilt:

Dad hugging his quilt.

He was so surprised when I gave him his quilt.  He just loved it.   This past Sunday was the day of the Lobster Supper in Prospect, so they asked to borrow his quilt so that they could use it to decorate the dining room.  He reluctantly loaned it!
Not the best photo, but you can  get the idea.  I didnt want to disturb the people enjoying their lobster supper.

Update on trying to sell my Great Granny Square quilt:

Unfortunately, the shop that I thought might buy my Great Granny Square quilt, was not interested in textiles at this time  .No problem. I will come up with another idea to sell it.

I am linking up with The Needle and Thread Network.  Stop by and check it out.  Lots of great projects underway.

  12. That picture of your dad, reminded me of when my youngest daughter spied an 8" Mini Mouse at a toystore when she was 3 years old. She saw it, held it for a closer look and after a few seconds tucked it under her arm. It was her favourite friend for many years. She's 24 now and has Mini with her even yet, although Mini now sits on a shelf and doesn't go out anymore.
