Step #4 Mystery Quilt - Complete
Here's a sneak peek at how my 3 colours + neutrals look together so far. This week's clue #4 for the Quiltville Mystery Quilt was to make 64 x 5 1/2" red string blocks. After they are made then you cut them into two triangles. I enjoyed making these little string blocks and I had help with taking the paper off the back an clipping apart the chain pieced blocks, so it went quickly. They are all pressed and trimmed and waiting to find a place in the quilt.

ReplyDeleteThese are looking good.
ReplyDeleteI agree, it's hard to buy finished pillowcases now that I see such wonderful options when I visit the fabric store. I'll be looking forward to pictures of the sock monkey one should you get it made.
Those colors together are fabulous! Wonder what will be next for us in step #5.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, Your Orca Bay blocks are looking wonderful! I love red, yellow and blues together. I would have preferred to use the blue instead of black but mine is for my DS and black is his choice.
ReplyDeleteI love what you have done with your blocks. They all look very nice together.
ReplyDeleteFantastic! When you put all the blocks together. Still can't figure out where they all fit.
ReplyDeleteLooking good! One of these days I'm going to have to take part in a mystery quiltalong! Wishing you a Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteWow, at first I thought that it was a new quilt, and then realized that it was your Orca Bay. Beautiful colors and your arrangement is very pretty. The quilt in your header is stunning. I wouldn't have the courage to try it.
