The Halifax Public Gardens is a beautiful oasis in the middle of a busy city. It dates back to 1836 and is considered one of the finest surviving examples of Victorian gardens in North America. It became a Canadian National Historic Site in 1984.

It is comprised of 16 acres complete with a historic bandstand that is still used for concerts. I used my cell phone to take these pics so I apologize for the quality.
