A Great Time in Amherst!!

I had the greatest quilty day ever!! We left Halifax at 9 am and arrived in Amherst around noon. It's usually a two hour drive but we stopped in Enfield to check out a secondhand shop that my aunt Clarissa (my travelling companion)wanted to see. They were having a sale and you got any 10 items for $1!! Then we left there for Amherst arriving around noon. Straight to Dayle's to check out the blocks on display. Mine is the first one from the left in the second row.

Then I met Karen Neary and we went to check out her window display and to see her beautiful quilts. I loved her new silk beauty. It was so pretty. and then off we went for a lovely lunch. After that we stopped by Deanne Fitzpatrick's rughooking studio. Awesome! from there we went to Pugsley's Pharmacy to check out the imaginative window displays.

Then we went to Amherst Home Furnishings. The store was decorated in quilts and hooked rugs making it very homey

There was lots of eye candy. I didnt find the fabric I need to finish my latest quilt so the search continues.

  1. It sounds like you had a wonderful day, Linda. What a nice idea to spread the display out all over town. I love your block too!

  4. Linda, I had SUCH a good time with you and Clarissa. I really appreciate you taking the time to meet up with me. The week has been a blur and I am behind on everything, but what a great week Amherst enjoyed, and what a terrific Festival!
