String Break!!!


Just taking a very short break from making string blocks so that I can get the borders on this applique quilt. It was started years ago and my BQFF (best quilting friend forever) Kathy, took over where I left off and finished the applique.She used the back-basting method for applique and her work is incredible. It is next in line for handquilting.

    Wow, that is beautiful! A lot of handwork and great talent. I have a best quilting friend too ... so she's now my BQFF ... love the acronym!

    Your quilts are all gorgeous, but I can't stop looking at Chris's quilt. I really love those colors together, and I have lots of greens in my stash. I enjoy seeing all of the string quilts you are making from the string thing challenge.
