A Bubbly Finish

A finish for me! About 2 years ago, I bought a Stackers pack -- SIDEWALK by Riley Blake by October Afternoon...that is 21 -  10" x 10" precut squares.   It was time to get it sewn up into a quilt.  I added a lovely FreeSpirit Winter White solid and used 18 of the 10" squares to make half square triangles, big ones, 9" ones, and then set them in a zigzag design.  Easy-peasy.  measures 54" square.
It has had its turn in the washer/dryer and is lovely and snuggly.  Just perfect for a little someone!

For the backing, I used a solid yellow Kona (don't know the colour name), which wasn't wide enough so I made a 10" strip from the remaining three 10" squares and some of the white solid.  For the binding, I used Kona Artichoke.

I quilted entirely in freemotion on my Pfaff PowerQuilter 16 sitdown quilter using Aurifil 50wt colour number 2021 a soft white.

I am linking up with Adrienne @Chezzetcook Modern Quilts for TGIFF  Stop by and check out all the wonderful finishes.

Hope you had time to do some quilting today!

I really like the way you chose to quilt it up, a perfect balance to highlight the ziggy zaggies! Well done, my friend! Someone's going to love snuggling up in this comfy little quilt! XO

  6. Very sweet. Changing up the way the quilting lines go in the coloured squares adds more interest - very nice.

  8. I really like this one. Just as pretty on the back as it is in front. I always add something to the back of mine too. I'm not very proficient at quilting yet though.
Be glad when mine looks as good as yours.
