Quilt Show in Pictou with the NSQBQ

Time again for the annual quilt show presented by the Northumberland Quilt Guild in Pictou, NS.
The ship "Hector"
And time again for the NSQBQ, the Nova Scotia Quilting Bloggers Quartet to get together for a few hours of quiltyness.  This year though, we were a trio.
L - R  Karen of KaHolly, Lesley the Cuddle Quilter and ME

Our lovely Sheila couldn't make it today.  I promised her lots of pics to make up for missing the show.

lots of handquilting

a view of the vendors mall

its a shame that this cutie was in a very awkward spot and hard to photograph.

After the show, we enjoyed a lovely lunch and traded our project for the coming year, a round robin.  Should be a ton of fun working on this.  You will have to wait til next June to see the results.  then we tried to get a few shots of each of us with our quilts but the wind was so high today that it turned into a comedy show instead of a quilt shoot. A fabulous day with fabulous friends!

Here's some live action!

Hope you had a chance to do something quilty today!

  8. What a fantastic collection! My favourite has to be the large white wholecloth - stunning. But I also love the 'spinning star'? which is just before the double wedding ring, beautiful. What a shame that Sheila could not join you. Looking forward to seeing your round robins. xx
