TN&TN - WIP Wednesday

WooHoo! My RRCB is no longer a WIP.    Took me long enough to be able to call it a Finish.    I have been complaining far too much about this quilt and how I didnt like it.  Well, I am IN LOVE  now!  Check out this link to this post I made a few days ago to see the result.

So, now it is on to the next victim!  I have my own lottery for deciding which of the 20+ UFOs I will get quilted and be done with.  I assigned each UFO a number and then put all the numbers in a bag and quilt whichever one I pick.  The next one will be "Ann's Hope Chest". This quilt top was made many years ago and was gifted to me after my friend Ann passed away.  Ann never got to finish it, so I will.  She handappliqued the hearts and fans.  It does not photograph very well but believe me it is very pretty.   A great little girls quilt. It measures 70x84   If you zoom in you can notice how the quarter circle in the fan block has been fussy cut.

I am linking up with The Needle and Thread Network so stop by and see what everyone is working on.

  2. Now this is interesting, Linda. I am guessing this is the Ann who had a quilt shop bearing the same name? If so, I met her at a show years ago and she tested my first solo pattern for me -1995. Small world.
It's a lovely top she made you, full of old-fashioned charm and your quilting will really bring it to life. I'm a sucker for pink in a quilt as my grandmother was partial to that colour and used it often.

  6. I like the lottery idea! Your quilt finish is lovely--I like how you used a mix of neutrals in the counter squares.
