Halifax Public Gardens

Just one of many Rhododendrons at the Gardens.  Some are very old.

The photo really doesnt capture how beautiful the colours are in this one

This is one of my fav spots in the Gardens.  this pic is taken from a little bridge over the brook.
This is the perfect spot to sit and relax

The Halifax Public Gardens is a beautiful oasis in the middle of a busy city.  It dates back to 1836 and is considered one of the finest surviving examples of Victorian gardens in North America.  It became a Canadian National Historic Site in 1984.
The Duck Pond
It is comprised of 16 acres complete with a historic bandstand that is still used for concerts.   I used my cell phone to take these pics so I apologize for the quality.
